Privacy Notice
Last updated: 1 September 2026 · Applies to bar.altorwealth.com
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this site or send us an enquiry through it.
Altor Wealth Management LLP is the data controller. We are a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales, with our registered office at Landmark House, Station Road, Hook, Hampshire RG27 9HA. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FCA number 769033.
If you go on to become a client, our main Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab) governs the information we hold about you in that relationship. This notice covers this website and the enquiries that come through it.
What we collect
If you complete the contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you give us. Nothing else, and nothing is required beyond those three things.
We ask that you don't include personal financial details in the form. If you want to discuss your circumstances, we'll arrange a proper conversation through a secure route.
We don't ask for your chambers, your practice area, your income, or anything about your family or health. If you choose to include information of that kind in your message, we'll hold it under this notice and delete it on the timetable below.
Why we can use it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: specifically, our interest in responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch, and your interest in receiving a reply. We think that's a fair use of the information, and it's the use you'd expect when you press send.
We don't use enquiry data for anything else. We won't add you to a mailing list, we won't send you marketing you didn't ask for, and we won't pass your details to anyone for their own purposes.
Who handles it
The form is operated by Formspree, Inc., which processes submissions on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
Formspree stores submission data on servers in the United States. The United States does not have a UK adequacy decision, so this transfer is made under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. In plain terms: your enquiry leaves the UK, and there is a contractual mechanism in place that requires it to be protected to a UK-equivalent standard.
Notifications are delivered to a monitored Altor mailbox hosted on Microsoft 365.
How long we keep it
If you become a client, your information moves into our main records and the retention periods in our main Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab) apply.
If you don't, we delete your enquiry within twelve months of our last correspondence with you, from both the Formspree account and the mailbox.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which guides people read. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across other websites, and doesn't identify you. That's why you aren't being asked to accept anything.
Links to other sites
This site links to Brick Court Chambers, to their LinkedIn page and to their podcast. Those are their sites, not ours, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave here. We have no control over what they collect.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to our using it at all. Because we rely on legitimate interests, you have a particular right to object, and if you do we'll stop unless we have compelling grounds not to.
To exercise any of these, email info@altorwealth.com or write to us at the address above. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab), or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this notice and change the date at the top.
